The Western Canadian District of The C&MA partners with a number of organizations provincially and nationally. The following organizations are highlighted because they have become a resource for transformation in the lives of our church members, licensed workers and pastors.

Founded by the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA) in Canada and The Church of the Nazarene Canada, Ambrose University is a diverse community of learners that are committed to the integration of Christian faith with academic discipline. This community of transformative Christian higher education carries a vision for the welfare of its local city and the world.
Bible Quizzing is a ministry in which the Christian & Missionary Alliance has joined with other church denominations in providing an uplifting atmosphere where memorizing Scripture is its primary purpose and Christian fellowship results in strong, edifying relationships that encourage living out God’s Word. The excitement and camaraderie of tournaments provides the incentive for the memorization of Scripture.

Our District has partnered with a few camps in Alberta. These camps have been the host to some of our events and have been a great way for children and youth to experience summer!
Shirley Thiessen is a transparent speaker, story teller and coach with a singular focus: Grief. She is intent on helping to create caring faith communities where the bereaved feel safe and loved. Her life adventures have included Co-Director of Kerith Creek Retreat Centre, Pastor’s wife and university fundraiser. Shirley is wife to Carey and Mom to Jordan and Chantel. She lives in Calgary but with one foot in heaven.
The heart and mission of Corner Bend Consulting is to equip you to effectively journey with those who grieve. Armed with practical tools and best practices, anyone can improve their grief companioning skills and avoid the hurtful missteps. But, It requires intentionality. We all need the help and love of others to navigate grief and hold onto HOPE. And doesn’t our world need a whole lot of HOPE?
Defend Dignity acts as a catalyst for individuals and churches to end sexual exploitation in Canada. Commercial sexual exploitation includes: pornography, strip clubs, escorts, massage parlors and prostitution. All involve the selling of sexual services which undermine the dignity of women, men and children and are detrimental to a healthy society.
The vision of Encompass Partnerships is for the city of Calgary to know God’s transformative love because of their commitment to demonstrate that love to the very edges of society. They hope to demonstrate the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the people of Calgary that do not yet know Him, or who have not yet gained full expression of their faith. They facilitate this through partnerships with Christian and other community partners, be they individuals, agencies, or churches.
Currently El Encuentro Alliance, Calgary Punjabi Alliance, Praise International, and New Covenant Alliance – churches from our District – hold their services at the Encompass Partnerships centre.
Envision Canada is a resource within the Christian and Missionary Alliance in Canada that serves as an on-ramp for people to engage in God’s mission. They design intentional and missional opportunities (long term missions & short term missions) that focus on sharing the Gospel of Jesus among least-reached peoples.
Fairhaven Ministries Canada hopes to encourage the health and renewal of Christian leaders.
Their retreat centre is a non-denominational, registered, charitable society committed to providing a retreat ministry where Christian leaders can be encouraged, supported, and restored physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
Journey Canada is a community-based, Christ-centered discipleship ministry that exists to help people find hope and live life through experiencing Jesus in their relationships and sexuality. They carry out their mission by partnering with churches, including the Alliance, to offer safe places for spiritual care and experiential discipleship. Their staff, volunteers and partners work together to see people living healthy, hope-filled lives in their relationships, families and communities.

Love New Canadians is a ministry that equips local churches to serve new Canadians in their neighbourhoods and to be intentionally welcoming to immigrants.
The Millbourne Community Life Centre is located in the neighbourhood of Millwoods in Edmonton. The facility is a busy place, acting as a hub for many different organizations. They are home to 3 different church congregations – Light of Life Filipino Church, Multi-Cultural Alliance Church, and The Mandarin Congregation from South Edmonton Alliance Church. They also partner with organizations such as the Edmonton Food Bank, the United Way Coats for Kids and Families, WECAN, The Millwoods Family and Resource Centre, Scouts Canada, and Youth Unlimited, and Christian Immigration Support Services. It is their goal to facilitate relationships with their neighbors as well as meet various physical, emotional, and spiritual needs in the community.
It is a Christian based community centre and they welcome anyone to take part in the services, programs, and events they offer. They hope to grow and develop their current partnerships, as well as connect with other organizations and agencies in the area to make the most of their facility and resources.
PALM Ministries provides practical information and learning about how to love your neighbour who is coming from a least reached people group of the world (a people group that has not yet heard of the Gospel of Jesus Christ).
Plan to Protect equips your church with effective and customized policies, procedures, and training in abuse prevention and vulnerable sector protection. Plan to Protect has been the standard used for many of our churches children and youth programs.
We care about God transforming the lives of our young children. A number of our churches have implemented Christ-centered school programs that encourage the development of the whole child.
Simply Mobilizing is all about seeing every believer living a life on mission with God and every church a missional church, facilitating God’s people on mission with God.
We exist as a movement in over 100 countries and 30 languages.
