Seeking Applications: Director of Field Engagement and Support

Director of Field Engagement and Support

The Western Canadian District is in the process of reinventing and focusing how it will lead and serve its church leaders in ways that enable them to have their greatest impact in a post-Christian Canada.  The key to this transformation will be the relevance and excellence with which we engage, stimulate and support our licensed workers and church leaders across our region. The WCD is establishing a new Director role to redefine the flow of engagement and support in the field relationship, and to bring leadership to this staff team.

Background

In recent months, the Issachar research and discernment project has been revealing our preferred future for District Office service and engagement with our constituency of churches and leaders. Among other key priorities, greater emphasis must be given to catalyzing the work of Jesus in our midst as a people who make disciples who make disciples (Christ-centred), who step deeply into the freedom and empowerment through the Holy Spirit (Spirit-empowered), and extend the gospel to the least reached, wherever they are (Mission-focused). These are our Big 3 priorities. We are seeking the Lord to see WCD churches, and the broader Canadian church, experience a reality not seen in generations: a deeply free and Holy Spirit empowered church, making reproducing disciples that cannot be contained in our existing structures and fruitful missions to those who do not yet have access to Jesus.
