A Coach Approach to Ministry
Event TimeOct 22 & 29, 2020 - 8:30 am - 12:30 pm MST
Great questions are a door to transformation. Jesus asked 339 questions and was asked 183, only answering a handful. Questions are a powerful and important tool that Jesus used. The neuroscience of coaching has shown that thoughtful, intentional questions following a coaching model lead to transformation. It isn’t surprising that Jesus was way ahead of us on this “new fad” we now call coaching.
Improve your question asking skills to have more transformational conversations through coach training. You are invited to join a cohort of pastors learning coaching skills together (enrollment limited). In this cohort you will learn:
- To coach and get value from being coached
- What coaching is and what it isn’t
- A coaching framework and know how it is linked to the International Coaching Federation Core Competencies for coaching
- When, where and how to take a coach approach to ministry
OPTIONAL FOLLOW UP: There will be follow up cohort calls for skill development, accountability and practice for using coaching skills. There will be 5 monthly calls, for 60 min each, with a cohort maximum of 10 people. The cost to participant is $350/person. Participates will coach, be coached and get feedback on their coaching from an accredited coach.
