Each leader below is a part of the Western Canadian District of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. The events below are available in their specific contexts as well as potentially available for itinerant ministry. Please discuss directly with each leader an appropriate honorarium and expense reimbursement should you bring them into your ministry context.

Doug & Teri Balzer – Western Canadian District Office (Calgary, AB)

Event: Holy Spirit Encounter weekend (Friday evening through Sunday)

Description: HSE weekends are aimed to provide biblical/theological teaching on the person and work of the Holy Spirit, personal encounters with his ministry of freedom, healing, learning to hear his voice, pursuit of the filling of the Holy Spirit as well as equipping components to lead others into the same.

 

Event: Soul Care Equipping Conference (2-4 day event)

Description: Soul Care Equipping Conference is designed to walk people through major barriers that block the health of the soul and the greater indwelling of the Holy Spirit (lies/identity, sin/repentance, family sin patterns, healing of wounds, bitterness/forgiveness, overcoming fear, deliverance from demonic strongholds. There is a strong focus on equipping leaders to be able to facilitate similar ministry in their own context.

Event: Praying with Power

Description: This workshop is for everyone who desires to take their prayer life to a deeper level as it highlights our identity and authority as believers.  Introduces Holy Spirit and His gifts into our intercession to take believers from petitionary prayer to intercessory prayer. Sessions include: “Identity and Authority of believers” “Foundations of Intercession”, “Types of Intercessors”, “Hearing God’s voice”, “Hindrances to Intercession”, “Understanding the Holy Spirit”, “Gifts of the Holy Spirit”, “Corporate Prayer” and others. Weekend workshop – Friday 6-9pm    Saturday 9am-4pm

 

Event: Gifts of the Spirit / Spiritual Warfare and Deliverance

Description:  includes teaching on the nine gifts of the Spirit according to 1 Cor 12; Weapons of warfare, Strongholds and Footholds of the enemy; Calling and Empowerment, Our Triune Nature, Understanding the Demonic and how they gain access, and others.

Ric & Ruth-Anne Gilbertson – RockPointe Church (Calgary, AB)

 

Event: Live Full

Description: Live Full is a retreat experience that helps us understand and experience what the Spirit-filled life is, what it looks like, and how we can cooperate with the Spirit in our daily life.  This retreat is ideal for those who are newer in their relationship with God or newer in their awareness of the person and work of the Holy Spirit.  After laying a helpful Biblical-Theological foundation, Live Full provides a wealth of hands on practical exercises for its’s participants.  It is ideal for individuals or small groups to participate in and suitable for high school students and older.  The total time of the retreat is 10 hours, generally in a Friday 6:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday 9 pm to 4 pm format.

 

Event: Set Free

Description: Set Free takes participants on a tour of seven key areas of repentance which lead to experiencing greater freedom in our relationship with God.  These topics include forgiveness, recognizing lies we believe, unresolved areas from our past, trauma, and generational issues.  Through teaching, small group, and individual activities participants learn to recognize blockages to growth and cooperate with God’s ongoing transformation in their live.  The total time of the retreat is 10 hours, generally in a Friday 6:30 to 9:30 pm and Saturday 9 pm to 4 pm format.

Description: Based on Dr. Reimer’s curriculum, Holy Spirit Encounter weekends are aimed to provide biblical/theological teaching on the person and work of the Holy Spirit, personal encounter with his ministry of freedom, healing, learning to hear his voice, pursuit of the filling of the Holy Spirit as well as equipping components to lead others into the same.

 

Event: Soul Care Equipping Conference

Description:  Based on the teaching of Dr. Reimer; the Soul Care ministry helps people grow in the health of their soul.  We are often limited by our past wounds, our current behaviors, and our faulty thinking.  These things can be blocks that prevent us from being who God created us to be and experiencing intimacy with the Father. Dr. Reimer focuses on equipping leaders to be able to facilitate similar ministry in their own context.
